When the body has a problem, it usually speaks to us and we have a symptom. Let us take a headache, for example. It is an indication that the body is out of balance. It is my personal experience that most headaches have nothing to do with the head but are caused often by a blood sugar imbalance, a digestive/elimination system that is not working well, or a hormone imbalance. To get rid of your headache, you give your body a medicine (an aspirin) or a medicinal herb (an herb that has a more natural form of salicylic acid than is in aspirin) and the ache or pain (the symptom) disappears. However, what about the cause of that headache? It is still there, and we hope the person would eat foods that allow the body to balance and correct the cause behind the symptom.
"Medicinal herbs and medicines correct symptoms. Food-grade herbs (foods) allow the body to balance and get to the cause behind the symptom."
